Pierluigi Petricca was born 1968 and has been known in Italy leading the "Papaleg Blues Band". Crucial to the case is the collaboration with the Irish
singer Michelle Landy in the 1997. Since this collaboration he had acquired a unique own way to render his emotions trough the 6 strings of the
resonator guitar. Thanks to his intense studing of the delta blues masters (Charlie Patton, Blind Lemon Jefferson, Bukka White, Furry Lewis, Mississippi
Fred McDowell) he acquired the capacity of express himself trough the bottleneck. He meet Marco Tinari in 2002 and they joined into the Papaleg Acoustic Duo in 2005.
Marco Tinari was born in 1978, his style of playing has been influenced by his end-less love for the Maxwell Street Sound. Robert Nighthawk,
Eddie Taylor, Floyd Jones, Howlin Wolf and the young Otis Rush, these are his early focuses. From here on his research of the Delta Blues Masters, discovering the Big Bill Broonzy's
walking bass, Robert Johnson lyrics hepled him on the acoustic guitar. After his first experience of the stage as a lead singer in the band "Jumpin' Eye Blues Quintet" he meet Pierluigi
Petricca and joined the Papaleg Acoustic Duo in 2005.
As Papaleg Acoustic Duo, since 2005 they offer a classic delta blues sound trying to express their blues in respect of the blues masters' tradition (Son House, Bukka White, Big Bill Broonzy e Blind Lemon
Jefferson) and listening from the last of the blues shouters, Eddie Cusic, Jimmy Duck Holmes ed David Honeyboy Edwards. They perform powerful live-sets thanks to an extensive touring activities from theatres to street corners, from squatted building to blues festivals. Their street life musicians experience gives to PapaLeg a unique way to go trough and express a sound related to the
roots of the Mississippi blues.
